PLANNING : IMPLEMENTING INSPIRATION

Having previously discussed my primary inspirations for the music video, I shall now delineate the specific elements from their works that I intend to incorporate into my project. 

I'll be practicing cutaway style of editing throughout my music video which is prominently featured in Lana Del Rey's music video for the song "Summertime Sadness." This technique involves intercutting between different scenes or shots to create a sense of visual rhythm and narrative depth. In "Summertime Sadness," the use of cutaway editing enhances the dreamy and atmospheric quality of the video, seamlessly weaving together various images and moments to evoke a powerful emotional response from the viewer.

This style of editing is also utilised in The Weeknd's music video for the song "Blinding Lights." Directed by Anton Tammi, the video features a combination of continuous shots and cutaway edits to create a dynamic and immersive visual experience. The cutaway shots are strategically placed to emphasize certain moments or details, enhancing the overall storytelling and adding depth to the video's aesthetic.

I believe amalgamating these diverse elements from such talented artists will result in a formidable project imbued with character and a distinct aesthetic. I aspire to do justice to their influences and create something truly remarkable.
